Refunds and cancelling
Last updated 29 October 2026
30-day money-back
When you start a plan for a participant, you pay the first month straight away. If you cancel within 30 days of that first payment, and before your second payment is taken:
- the first payment is refunded in full, automatically. You don't need to ask or give a reason;
- the plan ends straight away;
- the refund goes back to the card you paid with. Banks usually take 5 to 10 business days to show it.
The money-back applies once per participant, to their first plan.
Cancelling after the first 30 days
You can cancel any time. Your plan keeps working until the end of the month you've already paid for, and then it stops. We don't refund part-months.
How to cancel
The participant's owner can cancel in the app: Settings → Plan & billing → Manage billing → Cancel. If you have any trouble, email hello@swiftnotes.com.au and we'll sort it out.
What happens to the notes
Nothing is deleted when a plan ends. The team can still read and copy every note; writing new notes is paused until the plan restarts. If you'd like the participant and their notes deleted, email us and we'll do it.
If a payment doesn't go through
Our payment provider, Stripe, will try the card again over the following days, and the team can keep writing notes in the meantime. If it still can't be paid, the plan ends and the notes become read-only, as above. Updating the card in Manage billing fixes it.
